I have sensitive skin. Are your products suitable for me?My kit has products for all skin types: oily, sensitive, combination, dry, eczema-prone, rosacea-prone, acne-prone and sensitive. I know what I can and cannot use on certain skin types, meaning we just avoid those that could cause a flare up. If you also know certain ingredients that you are sensitive to, we can avoid these. It's best to just let me know when enquiring and we can talk it through. If one of your bridal party members has sensitive skin, I highly recommend booking them in for a preview beforehand so we can see how the skin reacts to avoid any reactions on the wedding day and to put their mind at ease.
-
How long does makeup take on the day of the wedding? For Brides, I allow myself 45-60 minutes depending on the complexity of the look and for other party members I give myself 40-45 minutes. My aim is to have everybody ready makeup wise at least one hour before the ceremony.
-
Do you travel to the venue for weddings?Yes! I travel to the venue (or place of choice) for your wedding morning. I also travel to you for your makeup preview. I travel 15 miles complimentary from my DY8 postcode and any further is charged at £0.45p per extra mile. I work this out and add it to your initial quote so that there are no hidden costs.
-
What is your makeup style?Soft, natural and enhancing makeup. My goal is to enhance your features rather than mask them so that you can look like the best version of yourself on your wedding day and not a completely different person.
-
Do you stay for touch-ups?Yes! Every wedding booking will have me on hand for touch-ups until you leave for the ceremony. Every member of the bridal party will also receive a pot of lipstick and a disposable lip wand for them to take away with them to reapply throughout the day. I also offer an after ceremony touch-up service. This is perfect for those of you that want to have your makeup touched up and perfected after your ceremony. I recommend this is you are expecting to be emotional during your ceremony as we can ensure your makeup looks as good as it did when first applied ready for your bridal portraits. This service is for 1.5 hours from your ceremony start time and is for all party members.
-
What makeup brands do you use?I only use tried and tested products that I love in my kit. My favourite brands to use are: Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, MAC, Bobbi Brown and Armani.
-
Are you available for destination weddings?Absolutely! Travelling as part of my job is amazing. Pricing breakdown considerations: Bridal packages / pricing as shown HERE Flights to and from the destination Hotel stay It's such an honour to be considered.
-
I'm getting married abroad - Do you do makeup lessons for Brides?I do! You can see more about my lessons HERE. Lessons are tailored to what you are wanting to learn, so in this case, learning step-by-step how to create a long-lasting beautiful bridal makeup look that you can replicate on the day.
-
Do you do hair and makeup?I specialise in makeup, but I can always recommend some amazing hairstylists that I work alongside regularly.
-
My venue doesn't allow us in until 9am, what happens in this situation? It completely depends on your ceremony time and how many people are in your bridal party. But don't panic as this is quite common. Option 1 - Start hair and makeup in a nearby location until 9am and then move over to the venue to start on everybody else. Option 2 - I can arrange for an assistant to work alongside me from 9am.
-
How many people can you complete makeup for on your own? This depends on the time of your wedding ceremony, but at max I could complete 7 people without needing an assistant. For example: If your ceremony is at 12.00pm and you have 7 people, chances are that we would need to start your makeup early. This is absolutely fine for me as an artist but note that each person takes 45-50 minutes. Any additional people after this or for a later start time, I would require an assistant. The assistant would complete a couple of your bridal party members whilst I would still do the Bride, Mothers etc.
